Are these colors "true" blacks and bright reds?

No. Because we use natural pigments and 100% linen, our colors have an organic, "lived-in" feel. Our blacks are more of a deep Charcoal or Carbon, and our reds are Earth-toned and Rusty. This prevents them from looking flat or synthetic.
Will the dark dyes rub off on my light-colored sofa?

Our dyes are professionally heat-set and cured. However, for high-contrast styling (like a Charcoal pillow on a White linen sofa), we recommend a cold-water wash or dry cleaning before use as a standard precaution for deep-pigment textiles.
How do I style dark pillows without making my room feel too heavy?

Use these deep tones as your anchor pieces. Place a large 22x22 Slate or Charcoal pillow at the back of your arrangement to provide depth, then layer forward with lighter Whites & Creams or Sand & Flax tones.
Do the dark colors show pet hair and lint?

Unlike flat cotton or velvet, our heavyweight slub linen has a textured, uneven weave that is much more forgiving with pet hair. A quick pass with a lint roller is usually all that’s needed to keep them looking pristine.
Will these deep colors fade in the sun?

Like all fine natural fibers, deep pigments will eventually develop a beautiful, soft "vintage" patina if kept in direct, harsh sunlight for years. We believe this aging process adds to the soulful, artisan character of the piece.
